Google introduced a family scheme for its Google Play Music, which will start at around $15 a month.
With the family plan, up to six family members can subscribe to Google Play Music for just $14.99 per month.
“You’ll unlock all of the same features you’d get from having individual subscriptions, including ad free, unlimited access to more than 35 million songs and the ability for each family member to stream simultaneously on any device, all for one low price,” writes Eunice Kim, product manager for Google Play.
Members will be able to keep their listening experiences separate from others. Each member will have separate accounts, playlists, libraries, and offline content. Any member can make purchases on Google Play, but payment system will be single, and won’t be shared between family members.
The family manager will be the only person who can create family, subscribe to the music plan, change the payment method, or cancel the family’s subscription.
People in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, France and Germany will be able to sign up for a Google Play Music family plan in the coming days on Android devices.
The plan is coming to more countries coming soon, according to Eunice Kim.
