Having showcased his acting skills in movies like ‘Masaan’ and ‘Zubaan’, the current rising of Bollywood, actor Vicky Kaushal is now excited about his upcoming venture, real life crime thriller ‘Raman Raghav’.
The film is said to be based on serial killer Raman Raghav, who went on a killing spree in the 60’s, before being caught and put behind bars.
While, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, will be seen essaying the title role, Vicky Kaushal plays the role of a cop, hot on the trail of the serial killer.
Speaking about his character in his upcoming movie, Vicky mentioned that, while his roles in both his earlier films namely ‘Masaan’ and ‘Zubaan’ were of a serious kind, he now gets to portray his aggressive and daredevil side in ‘Raman Raghav.’
The actor hopes to break his boy-next-door image with this Anurag Kashyap directorial venture. According to Vicky, his role in the new movie is one of the most challenging ones, as compared to his earlier two movies.
The actor revealed that apart from being aggressive his character also has streaks of madness and is of a demented kind, as he has issues of his own.
Having assisted Anurag Kashyap in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ series, Vicky is excited to be a part of his mentor’s directorial venture.
As for working with Nawazuddin, who was the main protagonist in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur 2’, the youngster mentioned about, having found him to be the same humble and down to earth person, as he was during his earlier days.
It has been quite a learning experience for the ‘Masaan’ actor while working with Nawazuddin, one of the most versatile actors to have hit the Bollywood scene.
‘Raman Raghav’ which is being produced by Phantom Films is slated for release on 20th May, although the makers are yet to announce officially the date.
