In a press release, the agency said that the kitten got an injury in the leg following the alleged incident. The agency said, “The kitten survived the incident, but did suffer an injured leg.” The agency continued, “The Inland Valley Human Society is assisting with the investigation and the care of the injured animal.”
Watching the video of the kitten tossing boy is very upsetting, Perla who is the cat’s owner and her mother told NBC. They found the cat four months ago and named it “Spots.”
The owner of the kitten said that she hopes the teen who threw the kitten is charged with animal abuse by the police.
She said, “I just want him to know he hurt a victim that can’t defend itself.”
According to the police, due to his age, they are withholding his name. However, the neighbors said that they know the teen in the video.
Oscar Ramos told CBSLA, “He hangs around here in the alley all the time.” Ramos added, “They think they’re cool. He probably did it just to look cool on video.”
