Newer technologies are being introduced between shorter spans of time. Fortunately for techies, companies can keep up with the pace through consistent software updates. Take operating systems like Apple’s IOS and Google’s Android. Roughly eighty percent of the smartphone population depends on these two operating software primarily for the smooth functioning of their handsets. However, to be able to avail the latest trends, the users are required to update their devices with the most recent updates. The same is naturally applicable on consumer smartwatches as well, or any other product for that matter.

Both, the Apple and Google smartwatch users each year, eagerly look forward to WatchOS and Android Wear software updates for the betterment of their products. While Apple took its annual conference back in June, to release software updates for its smartwatch, Google fans are still waiting for any news regarding the same. The wait is now fortunately over. The search giant recently published a list of smartphones that will receive the latest Android Wear OS update.

The latest software update will be based on this year’s Android Oreo built-up. Google fans were kept in the dark regarding the upgrade for Android Wear smartwatches for the longest time possible. The owners were made to guess whether or not; their smartwatches would be fortunate enough to run on Oreo. As posted on Google’s official website, the LG Watch Sport will be the first one to receive the update. This will way before the official software update even rolls out for use for all the owners. Additional smart wearables will receive the Android Oreo 8.0 update as well.
